Goyder`s Line of Rainfall 1866

After the disastrous drought of 1864 - 66, farmers in the north were seeking concessions from the government. At the very least, a drop in their lease fees. Goyder set off again for the seventh time in a decade, to map out the line where the salt and blue bush started.
