Arrangement

The Printed Reference Collection is arranged in broad subject order. The main collection is available at the Gepps Cross Research Centre. A smaller number of published reference books are also available at the City Research Centre. A listing of publications included in the Printed Reference Collection is available at the Gepps Cross Research Centre.

Description

The Printed Reference Collection is a small collection of published and other secondary sources relating to South Australian history, places and people.

The collection includes works that reference records in the State Records Archival Collection.

The subjects covered include:

  • Industries
  • Biographies
  • Regions
  • Immigration
  • Women
  • Government Departments
  • Aboriginal communities
  • Law
  • Medicine
  • Federation.

Generally, photocopies can be made of items in the collection. However, fragile material may not be copied. All copying needs to comply with the Copyright Act 1968. Please seek advice from Research Centre staff.
